People Magazine just announced their "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2010, the award going to Ryan Reynolds, Sandra Bullock's assistant and love interest in the blockbuster movie, "The Proposal."
No doubt, Ryan is a sexy guy and I have no qualms about him being recognized for his sexiness. However, in reviewing the list of "Sexiest Man Alive" recipients from past years, I realized that there are some obviously sexy hunks that, in my opinion, are equally drool-worthy!

People Magazine has been giving "The Sexiest Man Alive" award since 1985. Based on my own criteria as to what sexy is, here are the ten guys who would have gotten my vote as "Sexiest Man Alive" somewhere over the past couple of decades.
Josh Holloway - If you didn't watch ABC's strange-but-addicting series, LOST, you missed out on six seasons of watching hunky, 41-year old Holloway play the bad-boy character, James Sawyer. As Sawyer, Holloway maintained a disheveled, up-in-the-middle-of-the-night, rugged appearance that would make even a shy girl talk dirty. Just close your eyes and imagine a smokin' hot, shirtless guy soothing you with a sultry, southern drawl after you've survived a plane crash. That would kinda soften the blow, wouldn't it?
Gerard Butler - I don't know if it's his Scottish accent, scruffy five o'clock shadow, or piercing bedroom eyes that makes Butler so smoldering hot. He's been on the big screen in lots of movies, but most recently made us swoon during his role in "The Bounty Hunter" as Jennifer Anniston's ex-husband. Maybe Gerard will be a serious contender for 'sexiest man' in the near future?
